Ghana's Black Starlets will play Côte d'Ivoire on Tuesday, 20 October, at 16:00 GMT, in the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship in Burkina Faso, with a place at the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco going to the winner, MyJoyOnline reports.

Coach Kassim Ocansey's side topped Group A unbeaten with seven points, beating Togo and Benin and drawing 0-0 with the hosts, scoring four goals and conceding one.

Golden Eaglets eliminated

Côte d'Ivoire reached the last four after a 1-1 draw with Nigeria on Saturday, finishing second in Group B behind Niger. The result knocked out Nigeria's Golden Eaglets, who had lost their opening game to Niger and scored their goal against the Ivorians in the 80th minute, Premium Times reports.

It means the five-time world champions miss the U-17 Africa Cup for a third tournament in a row and will not be at the 2027 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, their fourth absence in a row. Nigeria last played at the World Cup in 2019 in Brazil.
