Kenya confirms a third Ebola case, a relative already in quarantine
The 65-year-old woman had been isolated since 6 October. The health ministry says there is no sign of community spread and has traced 127 of 130 contacts.

Nairobi — Kenya has confirmed a third case of Ebola, a 65-year-old woman who is a close relative of the country's first two patients, Africanews reports.
She had been in quarantine since 6 October and developed fever, a sore throat and fatigue while under observation.
Where things stand
- 127 of 130 known contacts have been traced and quarantined; health workers are still looking for the other three.
- The Health Ministry says the risk to the public remains low and that there is no evidence of community transmission.
- Kenya's first case, a 40-year-old businessman who had travelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo, died on 5 October. The second, another relative, was confirmed days later.
The outbreak is caused by the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola, for which there is no licensed vaccine or specific treatment. In Congo, where the outbreak began, more than 9,000 people have reportedly been infected and more than 4,300 have died.
