Egypt's Suez Canal Bank has launched SCB Business, a mobile banking app for companies of all sizes, Daily News Egypt reports. It follows the bank's internet banking platform for corporate clients.

What it does

  • Lets companies monitor accounts and transactions, and see their certificates, deposits, loans and credit card balances
  • Sends instant transfers to other Egyptian banks around the clock through the Instant Payment Network, as well as transfers between a company's own accounts and to other Suez Canal Bank clients
  • Manages beneficiaries for business payments
  • Shows whether a company is eligible for financing, and the maximum amount, based on its financial data and the bank's credit terms

The bank's chief executive and managing director, Akef El Maghraby, called the launch an important step in its digital strategy and said the bank wants relationships with clients that go beyond lending, helping businesses grow by combining finance with payments and account management.
