Zamfara State has graduated 300 young people from vocational and enterprise training, each with a starter pack to set up a business in the trade they learned, Daily Trust reports.

The training ran under the state's Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, with the European Union, the International Organization for Migration and other partners.

The Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, announced the graduation and attended the ceremony with the Deputy Governor, Mani Mummuni. He said Governor Dauda Lawal's administration sees practical skills as a lasting answer to unemployment, and that the state will keep working with local and international partners to expand opportunities for young people.
