No app store, no site visit: the software behind a Lagos build run from abroad
Proptiva Africa has put approvals, photo evidence, messages and payments for a property project into one login. Here is how the pieces fit together.

Lagos — The hard part of building or managing a home in Lagos from London or Houston is rarely the bricks. It is information: knowing what was done, when, by whom, and what it cost.
Proptiva Africa, a property company working in Lagos, Abuja and Accra for owners abroad, has built its service around that problem. This is a look at the technology it describes on its website, piece by piece.
One login, three kinds of user
Everything runs through a client portal that the company says is now live. A single login works on the web and on a phone, and a client's information follows them from one to the other.
Access depends on role. Clients, the company's staff and the team in the country each see and do different things in the same system.
Evidence, not assurances
The core of it is the update. When someone visits a site, what they post is, in the company's words, photo-verified and timestamped from the site. Progress on a build is shown in photos and video, with drone footage where it is available, alongside tracking of budget and timeline.
The owner does not only watch. The portal is where they approve work, exchange messages with the team and see invoices, so a decision and the evidence for it sit in the same place.
Paying
Invoices and project quotes are paid through Paystack's checkout, inside the same portal.
An app without the app store
The mobile version installs directly from the web, with no app store needed, and works on iPhone and Android. It carries the same things as the portal: properties, live updates, verified photos, messages and payments.
The hardware end
The software has a physical counterpart. Among the services the company lists are CCTV with remote viewing, alarm systems, smart locks, video doorbells, sensors, automated gates and access control, so that an owner can check on a finished property as well as a building site.
What a project looks like
The website illustrates all this with a sample screen: a build in Lekki for an owner in London, shown as 68% complete, with roofing finished, 14 photos uploaded, CCTV and an alarm installed and an inspection passed. It is the company's own example of the display, not a report on a named client.
What it does not replace
The company is explicit about one limit. It does not itself give legal advice, and refers title checks, surveys and other due diligence to legal and property professionals. Work is planned after a consultation and is not sold at fixed prices online.
