"Everything back home, handled": The Naija Concierge brings the diaspora closer to family
From welfare checks on elderly parents to video verification before you pay, the Lagos company sends vetted helpers to do what Nigerians abroad cannot do in person — and sends back proof.

Lagos — Every Nigerian abroad knows the call. Mum needs groceries and someone to sit with her for an hour. A car seller wants payment before you have seen the car. A cousin says the shortlet is ready, but you have no way to check. Nigerians abroad send home about $20 billion a year, according to World Bank estimates — and with that money comes a constant question: who can I trust to do it right?
The Naija Concierge, based in Magodo, Lagos, was built to answer it. Its promise is in its slogan: "Everything back home, handled."
What it does
The company sends vetted helpers it calls Gigsters to handle life in Nigeria for people who cannot be there:
- Family care: welfare check-ins on elderly parents, grocery stock-ups, errands, gift delivery, and cleaning a home before a visit
- Property and money: checks on the family house, rental and shortlet inspections, and video verification of vendors and cars before you send a kobo
- Visiting Nigeria: airport pickup and drop-off, private drivers, personal assistants, city tours and security escorts through vetted partners
Proof, not promises
What sets it apart is how every job is run. You describe the task, date and location; the team confirms the price and timing on WhatsApp before any work begins; you pay securely through Paystack by card, transfer or USSD. The Gigster checks in on arrival, and when the job is done you receive photos, receipts and notes, reviewed by the team before they reach you. If a job is cancelled before it starts, plan credits are returned and card payments refunded.
Trust starts with the people. Every Gigster is ID-checked, approved by the team and trained — including a short quiz — before taking a single job.
Built for life on two continents
Clients can pay per job or join a monthly plan, from everyday errands to a dedicated personal assistant and driver. Lagos is the home base, and Abuja and other states are arranged by quote. The Naija Concierge app, on the App Store and Google Play, brings live check-ins, photo and video proof, chat with the concierge, receipts and spend limits into one place.
For the millions of Nigerians building lives abroad, distance has always meant worry. The Naija Concierge is betting that a Nigerian company, Nigerian workers and a simple rule — show, don't tell — can turn that worry into peace of mind.
