Nigeria Says Tinubu’s Access to Kaaba Reflects Strong Ties with Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria says the rare honour accorded President Tinubu in Makkah highlights growing relations between Abuja and Riyadh.

PANM — The Nigerian Government has described President Bola Tinubu’s access to the inner chambers of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah as a significant gesture reflecting the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, Tunde Rahman, made this known in an article titled “Inside the Ka’abah: A Rare Honour and the Message from Makkah.”
According to Rahman, the gesture was particularly meaningful because it went beyond the usual ceremonial arrangements, highlighting the importance Saudi Arabia attaches to its relationship with Nigeria.
He noted that the recognition came at a time when Nigeria was seeking to attract more foreign investment and expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia, particularly in the oil and energy sector.
The presidential aide also said the spiritual experience had reinforced President Tinubu’s determination to pursue national development and economic reforms aimed at improving the country’s economic outlook.
