Ohale returns to Italy with Como as Gift Monday joins Boston's new NWSL team
Two Super Falcons, two moves: the veteran defender signs for Como after leaving Pachuca, and the forward is traded from Washington Spirit.

PANM — Two Nigerian internationals have changed clubs, Premium Times reports. The defender Osinachi Ohale has joined Como in Italy, and the forward Gift Monday has been traded to Boston Legacy, a new team in the US National Women's Soccer League.
Ohale
Ohale, who was born in 1991, arrives from the Mexican club Pachuca. She has played in Italy before, with Roma in 2020, and has also had spells in Nigeria, the United States, Sweden and Spain.
She recently retired from the national team after four World Cups, seven Africa Women's Cup of Nations tournaments and five continental titles.
"Osinachi is a very experienced and good defender," said Como's technical director, Nils Nielsen. "Representing Nigeria for more than 15 years, many as captain, her international experience is extremely valuable for us."
Ohale said she was happy to return to Italy and ready to do whatever the coach asked.
Monday
Monday moves from Washington Spirit, which she joined in March 2025 from the Spanish club Tenerife. She scored 12 goals and made three assists in 48 appearances.
In September 2025 she scored a hat-trick against Houston Dash inside 35 minutes and 52 seconds, the fastest from kick-off in the league's history. She also scored twice in the play-offs as Washington reached the championship final.
Boston Legacy are preparing for their first season in the league.
