Lagos Fashion Week, described as Africa's largest fashion event, is back for its 15th edition, with five days of shows from dozens of Nigerian and African designers.

The theme is "Crafted", which puts the heritage and skill behind each finished piece in the spotlight.

Organisers have also issued a manifesto, the "Blueprint for a Regenerative Fashion Future". It calls for a commercially viable industry and "supply chains that regenerate the land, honour the makers, and keep value on the continent".

Cameroonian designer Queen Tumenta said African creatives "have not had a stage and speak for a very long time". Pierre Mbengue, a Cameroonian content creator, said Nigerian fashion is bold because it blends the contemporary with the traditional.
