Ampem Darkoa beat Edo Queens in 30-minute replay to take WAFU-B's Champions League place
The Ghanaian champions scored early in the restaged extra time in Cairo, ending the Nigerian side's hopes of a second continental campaign.

Cairo — Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies have won the West African (WAFU-B) place at the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League after beating Nigeria's Edo Queens 3-2 in a restaged extra-time period in Cairo on Thursday.
The two clubs first met in the WAFU-B qualifying final in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on 5 September. That match finished 2-2, and Edo Queens won on penalties. But CAF later ruled that the officials had gone straight to a shoot-out without playing the 30 minutes of extra time the rules require. After an appeal by Ampem Darkoa, it cancelled the shoot-out and ordered the extra time to be played, with the score reset to 2-2.
Ampem Darkoa scored from a corner two minutes into Thursday's replay, with Vanguard crediting Mohammed Afishata. Edo Queens pushed for an equaliser but the Ghanaians held on.
Edo Queens made two changes for the replay: Kafayat Mafisere and Mary Mamudu came in for Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Oluebube Umejiaku, who were away on national duty.
