Osimhen's ninth league goal sends Galatasaray further clear at the top
The Super Eagles striker headed the opener in a 4-0 win at Konyaspor, in eight league games this season.
Konya — Victor Osimhen scored his ninth league goal in eight appearances this season as Galatasaray beat Konyaspor 4-0 on Friday to strengthen their lead at the top of Turkey's Süper Lig.
The Nigeria striker headed in Gabriel Sara's free kick after 12 minutes. Yunus Akgün, Aleksey Batrakov and Rafael Leão, from the penalty spot, added the others. Osimhen came off after 61 minutes, having had five shots, three on target.
Galatasaray now have 22 points from 10 matches, and host VfB Stuttgart in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Nigeria's Chidozie Awaziem played the full 90 minutes for Konyaspor, days after scoring twice in a 2-0 win over Gençlerbirliği.
