Residents of Mararaba, Nyanya and Abacha Road in Nasarawa State are looking forward to easier daily commutes as construction continues on the Mararaba-Nyanya flyover project.

For years, heavy traffic along the route has disrupted movement, forcing some workers to leave their homes as early as 4 or 5 a.m. to reach their workplaces in Abuja on time.

The 2.6-kilometre project, being undertaken by the Nasarawa State Government, includes two elevated bridges and five pedestrian bridges.

The project is expected to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity between Nasarawa State and Abuja, and reduce commuting difficulties. Completion has been announced for December 2026.

For thousands of commuters, the project represents more than new road infrastructure; it offers hope of spending less time in traffic and having a smoother journey to work.
