Nigeria: Tinubu Seeks Foreign Investment to Drive Job Creation and Economic Growth.
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu is banking on renewed global investor confidence to attract foreign capital, create jobs and turn economic reforms into better living conditions for Nigerians.
Abuja — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his administration will use renewed international confidence in Nigeria's economy to attract foreign investment, create jobs and improve citizens' living standards.
The President made this known in an article titled From Reforms to Delivery: Our Infrastructure Investment and Growth Strategy, published on October 30, 2026.
He said growing interest from international investors, positive assessments by global credit rating agencies and improved access to international capital markets reflected increasing confidence in Nigeria's economic policies.
Tinubu noted that the country's improved financial standing presented an opportunity to attract more foreign capital and secure long-term financing for development projects.
He also highlighted the role of infrastructure investment in driving economic growth, identifying roads, railways, electricity, water, agriculture and transportation as key sectors requiring sustained investment.
According to the President, the government must now translate renewed international confidence into tangible economic results through completed infrastructure projects, increased investment and employment opportunities.
He stressed that the ultimate measure of the administration's economic reforms would be their impact on the lives of Nigerians.
