MTN Uganda brings Starlink internet to remote businesses
The operator is now an authorised Starlink reseller for companies and institutions. Its foundation also opened a teachers' resource centre and certified 102 teachers in digital literacy.

Kampala — MTN Uganda has partnered with SpaceX's Starlink to offer satellite internet to businesses and institutions in areas its network does not reach well, BusinessDay reports. As an authorised reseller of Starlink priority services, MTN is selling Starlink for Business to enterprise customers.
Chief executive Sylvia Mulinge said reliable internet is essential for organisations in remote locations. Satellite links can reach places where laying fibre or building towers is hard. Prices, rollout dates and target numbers have not been published.
Teachers first
Separately, the MTN Uganda Foundation, with Burn Radio Uganda, opened a Teachers' Resource Centre in Komamboga, north-east of Kampala, to mark National Teachers' Day. It offers online and offline materials, help with lesson planning and guidance on using AI and technology in class, and is open to parents supporting learning at home. 102 teachers received the International Certification of Digital Literacy at the launch.
