More than 40 players from across Nigeria took part in the four-day camp, which began with trials in Lagos and was led by coaches from Nigeria and the United States.

Organiser Olalekan Ajayi said the camp honours his father, Ajayi Elebire, and that his own career began when he was discovered at a camp like this one. It is held every year, and he and other US-based coaches will keep coming.

American coach Scott Adubato said the players were very receptive and played hard to the last game. Ekiti police commissioner Michael Falade praised the organisers for giving young people opportunities.
